Simply connect to an air pump using airline, install in your aquarium, and switch the air pump on. The sponge filters feature a weighted base to allow them to be positioned easily in your aquarium, and provide more than enough flow for smaller aquariums. The sponges provide ample surface area for the colonisation of beneficial bacteria which will help to break down harmful waste components.
The sponges are easily replaced once they have come to the end of their useful life; simply remove the top portion of the filter unit, slide the old sponge off, slide the new sponge on in its place and replace the top portion of the unit.
